ART INSTALLATION

Installation Technician, RISD Museum of Art, Providence, RI (2003-2004)
Construction and demolition of gallery spaces and displays;
Packing / unpacking, transporting, and installing of artwork (sculpture,
painting, photography, furniture, architecture, and installation pieces);
lighting and arranging of displayed artwork in gallery spaces.


SCULPTURE

Assistant to sculptor Roberto Julio Bessin (2002-2003)
Fabrication of monumental 24’ tall, 1500 lbs sculpture commissioned by the Tokinosumika Resort in Gotemba, Japan at the base of Mount Fuji. MIG welded 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8” silicon bronze round bar. Approximately 30,000 welds in 30 miles of .035” silicon bronze wire.

Fabrication of sculptures and installation in metal, glass, latex. Frida Baranek has exhibited notably at: Venice Biennale,

Assistant to sculptor Philippe Anthonioz (1992-1993)
Fabrication of furniture in bronze, including a table for Eric Clapton. Fabrication of monumental sculptures in plaster and metal, including sculptural presentations for a private exhibition of jewelry for Chanel; published in Vogue Decor. Philippe Anthonioz has created furniture for the Musée Picasso, Paris. His work is in private collections internationally, including that of Bill Gates.
